Topographic anatomy in imaging methods and sections
Topographic Anatomy in Imaging Methods and Sections is an anatomical atlas that should serve as a comprehensive study material for the subject “Anatomy – practice”. This atlas was carefully compiled to provide students with clear and concise information about the anatomical structure of the human body and thus facilitating orientation in individual structures during practical training. The atlas is divided into chapters according to the syllabus, i.e., in accordance with the individual parts of the body, as they are systematically discussed within the given subject. The aim is for this atlas not only to facilitate the study of Anatomy but also to become a valuable guide in future medical practice.
Anal incontinence
Anal incontinence represents a distressing and functionally limiting condition, particularly among young women. Its prevalence estimates vary across the literature, and the condition encompasses involuntary leakage of flatus and faeces. According to the Oxford classification, faecal incontinence is divided into congenital and acquired forms.
Anal sphincter repair following obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASI)
Obstetric anal sphincter injuries (OASI) Grade III or higher are associated with a tear in the continuity of the anal sphincter. Accurate classification and timely diagnosis are essential for the appropriate management of these injuries. If not properly identified or adequately treated, such injuries may result in complications including gas and faecal incontinence, anorectal dysfunction, or dyspareunia. These conditions can significantly affect a woman’s quality of life and may lead to socio-economic stigmatisation, particularly among young women. Precise sphincter repair and comprehensive postpartum care play a pivotal role in a woman’s recovery and long-term well-being following OASI. This presentation focuses on the classification and diagnosis of OASI, with particular emphasis on the surgical management of obstetric trauma. The individual steps of the procedure are demonstrated on a human cadaver model, and both early and late aspects of postpartum care are addressed.

Anatomical dissection – protocols
The textbook is intended as protocols for the dissection course. It will contain worksheets for each dissected anatomical region. It will enable students to record the current state of the dissected region, including any variations, and thus obtain a comprehensive picture and better orientation in the region. The textbook can be used to improve the preparation of students for practical examinations, which are part of the final anatomy exam.
Free fibula harvesting – videolecture
This educational video shows the procedure for harvesting a free vascularized fibula that can be used for microsurgical reconstruction of bone defects of the tibia, femur, forearm, and upper or lower jaw. The entire operation, which has been edited into a 18-minute video, is described in detail: English subtitles are available.
Anatomical Dissection of the Head
The educational videofilm Anatomical dissection of the head is aimed at students of general medicine and dentistry in order to provide them with information necessary for preparation to the dissection of the head within the scope of anatomical studies. The film deals with the dissection of individual regions of the head in the way that is used in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk Unniversity, Brno.
